LSE Space GmbH is looking for a

                     Software Engineer (m/f/d) for Ground Segment Systems

to work within the Software Engineering Team in our Gilching (close to Munich) or Darmstadt offices to design, develop and test software, with focus on Ground Segment Systems

Responsibilities

The main tasks will be:

  • Full life-cycle application development
  • Full-stack web application development
  • Designing, coding and debugging applications
  • Software analysis and requirements analysis
  • Graphical user interface design (mainly web)
  • Software testing and quality assurance
  • Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation

Profile

University (or similar) degree in computer science, engineering or similar discipline.

Essential Skills and experience:

  • Proficient in languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Experience with Web technologies: javascript frameworks, html5, css3
  • Experience in containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
  • System-minded and a team player
  • Quick learner
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with little or no supervision in a small team
  • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing
  • The candidate must show a genuine interest in space and ground systems

Additional experience of any of the following is also desirable:

  • Building and maintaining multi-stage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, GIT, and Nexus.
  • Experience with Spring framework
  • Managing cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, Azure using Kubernetes (k8s)
  • Experience with databases desirable
  • German language skills would be a plus
