LSE Space is looking for experienced Engineers (m/f/d) in order to fulfill the duty of:                                            
                             Quality Assurance Engineers
to be part of our Service Team to support our customer EUMETSAT in Darmstadt/Germany.
For our activities at EUMETSAT, we are currently seeking to employ highly motivated and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineers to support the LEO and CMD Divisions.

Responsibilities

Main Tasks
• Identify and report issues to the LEO Quality Assurance Manager on the specific QA aspects;
• Monitor the suitability and implementation of QA plans & policies, and propose changes as considered necessary;
• Propose new QA related documentation (e.g. procedures, working practices…);
• Propose updates to existing QA related documentation (e.g. procedures, working practices…);
• Organize and perform the secretary role of the AR/NRBs.
Support the Ground Segment procurement performing the following tasks:
• Control and monitoring of the existing process as defined in QARD;
• Generation of reports on existing processes in place;
• Generation of reports on new required process to be put in place as requested by the Technical Officer.
Support the Space Segment procurement performing the following tasks:
• Control and monitoring of the existing process;
• Generation of reports on existing processes in place;
• Generation of reports on new required process to be put in place as requested by the Technical Officer;
• Update the established metrics and /or indicators;
• Propose new metrics and their implementation as requested by the Technical Officer.
Support the System Engineering performing the following tasks:
• Control and monitoring of the existing process;
• Generation of reports on existing processes in place;
• Generation of reports on new required process to be put in place as requested by the Technical Officer.
Contribute to the organisation and execution of the following reviews:
• Formal Reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, LORR..) including Delta Reviews originated from the Formal Reviews;
• Test Reviews (e.g TRR, TRB, PTR) inviting internal and external participants;
• Internal checkpoints and keypoints, as agreed by the Programmes’ Management.
Support the Integration, Verification and Validation (IVV) area performing the following tasks:
• Control and monitoring of the existing process;
• Generation of reports on existing processes in place;
• Generation of reports on new required process to be put in place as requested by the Technical Officer.
Monitor and contribute to the Risk process by means of:
• Reports on the implementation of the Risk Management process as defined in the applicable Working Practice;
• Submission of new QA related risks as requested by the Technical Officer;
• Contribution to the Risk Registers, as required.
Gather lessons learnt, implemented as follows:
• Sending the Lessons Learnt template to collect Lessons Learnt as requested by the Technical Officer ;
• Call Lessons Learnt discussion meeting collecting the gathered lessons learnt, and inform by e-mail the Technical Officer of the Lessons Learnt gathered ;
• Performing the facilitator role and taking minutes of the discussion outcomes and actions.
• Update the Lessons Learnt programme repository and report to Technical Officer about the retained Lessons Learn;
• Provide reports to the Technical Officer on the implementation of the relevant programme PMP and QA Plan specified processes;
• Perform additional QA tasks originated in the framework of LEO and CMD Programmes development, upon request of Technical Officer.

Profile

Mandatory Skills and Experience
• Experience in QA processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control;
• Experience in risks management and lessons learned processes;
• Experience in Anomaly and Non-Conformity management;
• Experience in supporting the collection of lessons learnt within a project team;
• Experience in a rational application of quality international standards (e.g. ISO and ECSS);
• Experience in managing, reporting and follow-up of procured items;
• Knowledge of project management and project planning, possibly including the ability to identify and report on critical paths;
• Sound hands-on experience in working on collaborative programmes involving different partners;
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Fluency in English.
