In Hamburg we are looking for an Industrial System Engineer (d/f/m) at the earliest possible start date. You will join Industrial System Design and Modelling organization to assist in technique development and end user support of the CATIA, ENOVIA, DELMIA and SIMULIA; CAMEO solutions from Dassault Systemes and others tools (Anylogic, Matlab, SAP…).

Responsibilities

The primary function is to support the Industrial Modelling and simulations aspects of the suite of tools to support the Model Based Definition of our industrial system design.

  • Create best practices by delivering demonstrators, pilots and serial deployment for Industrial using current and future tool set
  • Define, Develop, deploy Industrial Modelling and simulation and Digital twin capabilities following Verification & Validation plan
  • Being user expert and provide end user mentoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Develop and support Policy and Procedure for industrial Modelling and simulation process methodologies
  • Creation of Industrial DMU and related methodology documentation and best practices to assist the Industrial teams from conceptual design through finished industrial system
  • Manage progress and reports according to agile processes and rules
  • Identify current or future skill gaps in the frame of Industrial MBSE and derive and address adequate actions
  • Provide supplier support and model conversion to other platforms

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Profile

  • You have a University degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
  • You have solid knowledge and understanding
    • Of manufacturing processes
    • Production management
    • Lean manufacturing
    • Associated industrialization principles
  • You have longstanding experience in Process Simulations
  • Solid experience deploying automation and robotics systems in a high mix production environment
  • Relevant experience with digital manufacturing tools and techniques (Delmia, Process Simulate, Plant simulation/anylogic; Matlab; Simulink or equivalent)
  • Appropriate experience with 3D modeling software (Catia V6 or equivalent)
  • It would be a plus if you bring knowledge and experience with big data, data analytics and machine learning
  • You have strong understanding of Lean principles and implementation of Lean strategies
  • You have effective decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on the ability to effectively influence others, and a collaborative approach are a must
  • A team-focused mentality with the proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily-understood, authoritative, and actionable manner
  • You have strong communication skills in English and German
