The Program EVMS Finance Leader supports the program director and IPT team with program specific analysis, models, KPIs, and guidance to ensure program financial targets are measured & achieved per budgeted plan. This role plays a key role in setting the operating rhythm of the IPT team and drives monthly forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, as well as variance and ad hoc analysis.  Program Financial Lead of EVMS measures overseeing EVMS analysts reporting, analytics, forecasting, etc.   Provides program EVMS coaching / leadership.   Working knowledge of ERP/MRP system

Responsibilities

  •  Develop and oversee monthly program EVMS forecasts & annual budgets. Track risks & opportunities to the forecast each month & develop clear variance analysis of actuals to forecasts. Coordinate efforts with EVMS analysts.
  • Create & implement analysis, models, KPIs, and guidance to the IPT team as needed to ensure program EVMS targets are measured & achieved per plan.
  • Identify financial risks, develop mitigation plans with business case justification
  • Responsible for monthly closing process related to program IPT responsibilities, including ensuring the accuracy of reporting, transactions, and cost accounting entries as needed
  • Lead and/or support continuous improvement program projects supporting program cost improvements and accuracy.
  • Drive cost out initiatives & lead cross functional efforts to reduce product cost.
  • Develop financial knowledge within the business IPT (EVMS Compliance).
  • Ensure adequate financial controls are in place and maintained to support program financial success.
  • Liaison with finance customers including management representatives, internal & external auditors (DCAA/DCMA) and local users of financial data
  • Create financial models and performance reports for the Program Manager
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance
  • Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned
  • Leads program teams in the development and preparation of program baselines and financial forecasts, estimate at complete (EAC) development and reviews, preparation of financial packages, EVMS reporting and compliance support, audit support, baseline development and internal integrated baseline reviews, financial and investigative analysis, and real-time information and analysis to PMs, CAMs and Finance Management
  • Closely supports PM team and collaborates with other functions including scheduling, contracts, procurement and central finance
  • Leads EVMS policy, process, tools, training and performance assessment in accordance with ANSI EVMS 32 guidelines
  • Provides specialized EVM analysis and develops specialized reports using analytical tools as required
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) analysis, maintenance and reporting including detailed analysis of ERP/MRP system scheduling.

Profile

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 8 years of experience in finance or EVMS
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must comply with ITAR regulations and site SSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GKN experience
  • Government Accounting and DCAA auditing experience.
  • Ability to create formal documents and conduct management presentations.
  • Must have good negotiating and communication skills including strong active listening skills
  • Excellent personal computer skills including Excel, Word, Access and Suite
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • IPT &/or Manufacturing industry experience
