Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a IOS/FFT Software Developer Support to join NATO-NCIA, to work remotely

Responsibilities

  • NATO Information and Communication Agency (NCI Agency) located in The Hague, Netherlands, is currently involved in development of new capabilities for NATO as well as in support of existing capabilities. In light of these activities, C2 Service Line is looking for experienced software developers

Objective

  • Consultancy required by this statement of work will support software development of projects within C2 Service Line starting with development for next baseline of NATO Functional Area Services such as Interoperability Services (NMRR) and Friendly Force Track (FFT) Information Services
  • Software Developer will be part of a team (project manager, technical lead, software tester, etc.) geographically distributed and will work using an Agile and iterative approach

Duties, schedule and practical arrangements

  • Under guidance of technical lead software developer will develop and maintain Friendly Force Tracking (FFT) software modules. Software Developer will perform the following activities:
  • Develop/test FFT software components and update design documentation
  • Develop FFT test scripts for the FFT Test Tool
  • Support automate FFT software integration and deployment to the test platform. Software Developer may also be requested to provide ad-hoc FFT tools support
  • Work will occupy 320 hours starting in October 2020 and ending not later than 31 Dec 2020. The contract may be reviewed, and if required extended. The contractor will be required to work on average 38 hours per week
  • Contractor will work under NCI Agency contract, offsite. He or she will participate in meetings in laboratories at NCI Agency as member of C2 Service Line under supervision of IOS/FFT Technical Lead
  • There may be travel required to NCI Agency The Hague and other sites within NATO for system tests and observing exercises. Travel expenses will be reimbursed to the individual directly (outside this contract) under NATO rules
  • This consultancy support must be accomplished by one consultant. In the event the consultant leaves during contract period, he or she shall be replaced by a new consultant who has the required qualifications and is acceptable. Normal NCI Agency Terms and Conditions apply

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO SECRET
  • Candidate has relevant and recent experience in system and software design and development of Graphical User Interface using Java, JavaScript and schematron / XSLT
  • Candidate has relevant and recent experience in using JDBC
  • Candidate has relevant and recent experience in using development tools (e.g. Maven, Jira, TestRail) and methodologies (e.g. Agile)
  • Candidate has relevant and recent experience in documenting source code and design, online help
  • Candidate has relevant and recent experience in continuous software integration and automated deployment on Windows, Linux and Solaris platforms
  • Candidate is able to speak and write fluent English since the work is conducted in English
  • Candidate must have the nationality of one of the NATO nations
  • Practical experience in working within a software development team
