What will your role look like?

The Sensors and Communications Profession at Roke is a world centre of excellence, having pioneered many new and ground-breaking technologies over the last 60 years. Joining Roke’s Sensors and Communications team will secure you a world-class career in cutting-edge technology. Profile

What do we expect from you?

Roke is looking for graduates enthusiastic about research and development, who also understand the importance of customer focus.Ideally we would like you to have a good honours degree in a subject such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Electronic Engineering or Physics.

Skills we need include:

  • Electronics hardware development
  • Radiofrequency (RF) circuit design
  • Signal Processing theory
  • Embedded software development

What additional skills would be useful?

Additional desirable skills include:

  • Wireless communications or radar system knowledge
  • Designing with FPGAs
  • Electromagnetics or antenna design
  • Acoustics and audio signal processing
  • Practical skills (soldering, hardware assembly, prototyping, etc.)

Where will you be based?

Your work will typically be located at Roke’s site in Romsey, with some travel to customer sites and the possibility for you to work on secondment with one of our prestigious customers.
