Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Digital Designer to work at NCIA in The Hague, Netherlands

Responsibilities

As a ‘one stop shop’, the Creative Media and Conference Services (CMCS) team directly supports the strategic communications objectives of the NCI Agency by developing and producing internal and external media products for all of its departments, and providing the backbone to events and conferences. Its primary customer is the Agency’s Executive Management team but it supports all the organization’s departments, that is to say more than 3000 people across 28 locations.

Within CMCS, the Creative Media branch focuses on development of effective and consistent content, and print products.

  • Create digital assets for the Agency’s multimedia and graphics projects, including but not limited to digital advertising, animation, motion graphics, email campaigns, social media products, interactive displays and (multimedia) presentations to support scientific research, strategic, corporate and technical communication and marketing objectives of the NCI Agency;
  • Monitor and safeguard the proper use of the Agency’s brand and visual identity;
  • Participate in graphical and digital publishing projects;
  • Stay abreast of all professional software and hardware developments, and industry developments in area of responsibility;
  • Assignments include: duties to back-up similar functions for other NCI Agency locations;

Profile

  • vocational or academic training in relevant area of digital design or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience in relevant area;
  • Experience collaborating closely with design teams, brand teams, photo production teams and copywriters on day-to-day marketing and/or communication campaign initiatives;
  • Interpret team’s concepts into a design that will deliver an effective user experience;
  • Be able to think outside-the-box when bringing stories to life in digital space;
  • Expert knowledge of main creative media production tools in use at NCI Agency, notably latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite design tools.
  • Preferably you will also have:
  • Knowledge of UI and UX design processes and methodologies, particularly as applied to digital products;
  • Front-end development skills to convert data to a graphical interface, such as through HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
  • Experience in producing creative media in a cross-media context;
  • Working knowledge on Microsoft Office applications;
  • Able to work with both PC and MAC. The NCI Agency is a Windows environment, but creative media production segment is partially MAC-based;
  • Candidate should demonstrate following behavioural competencies:

  • Candidate must have advanced level of English (B2 or higher).
