Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Principal Engineer and Strategic Planning Consultant to join NATO – NCIA, at Mons, Wallonia, Belgium (Remote)

Responsibilities

  • Organize and engage in scoping discussions with ACT sponsors and project team members on Innovation PoW activities, elaborate work plans, and act as a senior contributor to the work to be conducted.
  • Organize coordination meetings with project teams and other internal and external NATO stakeholders.
  • Provide technical briefings on the progress of the various work activities, making sure that work plans are followed and meet internal and external milestones.
  • Conduct analyses of NATO documents and doctrine in the area of Data Science
  • Elaborate high-quality technical reports and briefs on the project results
  • Support Project Management Activities
  • Perform other duties as required

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • A senior profile matching the level of a principal engineer with a track record of technical and management work in the areas of Strategic Planning, Project Management, Innovation, Risk Management and NATO experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree at a reputable university in a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant demonstrated post-related experience.
  • Extensive and demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following areas:
  • technology capability development programs o delivery reports to Senior Committee and Stakeholders
  • Risk and Change Management
  • Formal Certification in Project Management (Prince2, APM, etc).
  • Experience in supporting technical and scientific projects for large military organizations.
  • Ability to apply architecture methodologies to express complex systems of systems in architectural terms and models of varying detail.
  • Recognized track record in dealing with stakeholders, understanding their needs, problems, and requests and proposing constructive ways ahead.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and orally with excellent writing and briefing skills to different types of audiences, including providing briefings, writing high-quality technical reports and scientific papers
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU
