Sapienza Consulting is recruiting an IT Change Manager to join NATO – NCIA at Mons, Wallonia, Belgium

Responsibilities

– Manages entire lifecycle of Enterprise IT Change Management across infrastructure, platform and software as a service
– Develop implementation plans for complex requests for change
– Ensures that appropriate actions have been planned to minimize the risk of failure and impact on users during change implementations
– Evaluates risks to the integrity of the service environment inherent in proposed implementations (including availability, performance, security and compliance of the business services affected)
– Seeks authority for those activities, reviews effectiveness of change implementation and proposes an improvement to organizational procedures governing change management
– Guides and supports Service Delivery Managers, Project and Lifecycle Managers in their Requests for Change
– Liaises closely with NATO Cyber Security Centre and Independent Verification & Validation Service Line in assessing change requests
– Manage and prioritize Requests for Change using IT Service Management Toolset
– Develop knowledge articles and develops change models within IT Service Management Toolset
– Chairs Change Advisory Board and prepares Agenda and Minutes
– Escalates high impact change to executive management for final approval
– Supports change to release and deployment to Operations and Exercises
– Compiles IT Change Management Key Performance Indicator Reports to senior management
– Maintains IT Change Management discipline ensuring correct policies, processes and procedures are routinely followed
– Deputize for higher grade staff, if required
– Performs other duties as may be required

Profile

  • Must be able to start on the required start date and work in Belgium with no restrictions
  • Required Security Clearance: Must have a current NATO Secret clearance in place to start this contract
  • Minimum requirement of Bachelor’s degree at nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline (such as Science, Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology) and 2 years post-related experience; Or exceptionally, lack of university degree may be compensated by demonstration of candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to function of post
  • Experience in Configuration Management, Configuration Control and Status Accounting
  • Experience with ITIL change management best practices
  • Practical experience in usage of change management tools
  • Knowledge of Quality Management principles
  • Experience in operation of Change Advisory Boards (CAB)
  • Experience organizing meetings and committees
  • Relevant ITIL training certification
  • Desirable Experience and Education:
  • Post-secondary training in IT
  • Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU
