Sapienza Consulting, a Serco company, is recruiting a Digital Innovation Manager to join NATO – NCIA in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will perform overall duties in the area of Innovation, such as the following:

  • Monitors the external environment for new NATO strategies, technologies and innovation opportunities
  • Identifies new emerging technology such as Quantum, Space, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc and experiments their application to military domains; identifies suitable new technologies for use in NATO ICT and C4I capabilities and services
  • Engages with NATO CIO, NHQC3S, DIANA, ACT, ACO and Nations on NATO innovation and associated activities, as well as de-risking the implementation of NATO ICT services and C3 capabilities and facilitating their evolution
  • Support the management of the NCI Agency Innovation Portfolio
  • Support the development and update of the NCI Agency Innovation Strategy
  • Support the Business and Resources Planning and Control, including development of dashboards

Profile

  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance.
  • A Master of Science (MSc) degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline with 8 years post-related experience;
  • Or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related subject with 10 years post related experience;
  • Extensive experience (at least 10 years), at the management level in development, management, acquisition and/ or implementation of major communications, computer, command and control, or intelligence (C4I) systems and services;
  • Extensive experience (at least 10 years), at the management level in management of innovation and new technology activities in ICT services and C4I capability areas (e.g., artificial intelligence, big data, quantum technology, robotics, autonomous systems, hypersonic weapons systems)
  • Extensive experience (at least 10 years), at the management level in development and implementation of ICT related strategies;
  • Extensive experience (at least 10 years), at the management level in business and resources planning and control and development of related dashboards
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and orally with excellent briefing skills to different types of audiences, including authoring high-quality reports and providing briefings to senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization is desirable
