Sapienza Consulting, a Serco company, is recruiting a NATO Secret cleared VMWare Engineer (IaaS), to work on the AAS Project at NATO-NCIA, with work location in Braine-l’Alleud, Wallonia, Belgium.

Responsibilities

Duties & Role:

• Full life cycle server infrastructure: architecture, design, administration, implementation and support including CPU, memory, disk utilizations/capacity planning and adjusting new requirements as well as monitor and audit system utilization, and performance with focus on VMware virtualization
• Defines improvements increased system reliability and performance
• Deploy SCCM patches to Windows servers from AOR
• Acts as the technical liaison between operations teams, engineers and architects, providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability
• Participates in short- and long term planning efforts with stakeholders and IT groups
• Communicates events to stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership
• Coordinates changes across multiple systems.
• Schedule, coordinate and lead planned downtimes
• Accurately update comments and status to tickets via ticketing system
• Participate in on-call activities
• Might need to work on scheduled maintenances, service-affecting activities and contingency work outside of regular business hours
• May need to travel to other NCIA units in other countries, service affecting activities and contingency work outside of regular business hours

Profile

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance.
• VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.
• VMware vSAN Certified
• A minimum of two years’ experience as a VMware engineer.
• Proficiency in VMware associated programs and coding languages.
• Proficiency in Windows Server, MS IIS, SCCM, SCOM.
• Extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of VMware ESX and related technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude.
• Great organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to resolve urgent VMware environment problems outside of business hours.
