About this job

  • Inputs: Contract, Business and internal or external Customer requirements, Project Charter, Lessons Learnt.
  • Mission: Deliver the project within time, scope, cost and quality objectives and to customer satisfaction. Manage project stakeholder relationships as well as customer expectation and requirements.
  • Outputs: Product / service / solution delivery to the customer according to the contract / requirements.

Achieve project objectives (time, scope, cost, quality) to customer satisfaction in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations. Define, implement and drive a project team/organization all along the project phases, including people coming from other functions (matrix organizations). Ensure effective integration of lessons learnt. Ensure active risk and opportunity and contract (internal or external) management. Ensure effective management of partners and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Project qualification
    • Analysis and evaluation of Business and/ or IM requirements incl. respective business process changes if necessary
    • The key drivers and key success factors for the business have to be identified, and the short- and long-term direction of the business and related technologies have to be taken into consideration
    • Preparation of a project mandate including Project Breakdown Structure and cost estimation
    • Preparation of the binding offer to the customer/sponsor including the PM process to be adopted e.g.Waterfall, Agile Scrum etc.
    • Consideration of service portfolio according to the business needs, identify opportunities to introduce or to decommission services.
  • Planning
    • Support to Business Case creation
    • Preparation of the programme/project planning scope, work breakdown, deliverables, project organisation, roles and responsibilities, cost break down, time schedule and milestones, procurement planning of goods and suppliers
    • Communication, reporting, status reporting with stakeholder and steering committee meetings, taking into account the project governance established in the business system
  • Budget
    • Ensuring the adherence to the assigned budget on the basis of the offer to the customer/sponsor
    • Reporting/escalation in case of cost overrun in collaboration with the responsible functions
    • Proposal and initiation of corrective measures in case of deviations on cost, time and qualityProject execution
    • Ensuring the execution of all work packages in expected cost, time and quality, in collaboration with the involved stakeholders and external suppliers
    • Detailed analysis and Design Phase:
      • Analyses the business needs and translation into feasible IT solutions
      • Implement Products/Services in collaboration with the IT Product Manager while
      • Ensuring that the developed solutions are inline with evolving Customer needs and the IM landscape/Strategy
  • Implementation of quality measures:
    • Preparation and submission of change requests (scope and impact) to the Steering Committee
    • Monitoring the project execution and the compliance to the planning
    • Update of the planning and elaboration of a new base line after authorisation of the request by the Steering Committee
  • Risk and opportunity management:
    • Implementation a continues risk and opportunity management in the framework of the project processing to proactively identify opportunities for optimization and to minimize risks
    • Derivation and realisation of appropriate measures in coordination with the Business Partners and, if necessary, the steering committee
  • Documentation:
    • Ensuring the preparation and provision of the documentation for reporting, analysis, specification, development and integration of solutions on the basis of the project governance determined in the business system
  • Leadership:
    • Contribution to the development of functional assigned project team members
