Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Technician (User Support) to work at NCIA in Mons, Belgium

Responsibilities

• Installation, operation and maintenance of copper (CAT5/6/7) and fibre network architecture on SHAPE campus
• Troubleshoot layer 1 connectivity issues on data LAN, VTC and telephone network systems
• Plan and execute network cabling requirements for local project managers
• Maintains cable frame rooms in clean state
• Maintain Cable records for validation and local use
• Troubleshoot PC faults in workshop Environment
• Install software locally and by remote deployment
• Contribute to Service Operations processes through ITSM toolkit

Additional Duties:

• Incumbent may be required to perform like duties elsewhere within organisation
• Incumbent is required to undertake operation deployments and/or TDY assignments both within and outside NATO’s boundaries
• Work is normally performed in typical Office / Frame Room / CIS Installation Facility environment. Normal Working Conditions apply

Profile

• Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
• Certified Fibre Optic Installation Technician
• Certified PC Repair Technician (minimum CompTIA A+)
• 3 years experience in a combined workstation/infrastructure maintenance role
• Word Processing: Working knowledge
• Spreadsheet: Working knowledge
• Graphics Presentation: Working knowledge
• E-mail clients/Web Browsing: Working knowledge
• MS Visio: Working knowledge

Desirable Experience and Education:

• Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training leading to formal technical or professional certification with 3 years function related experience, or Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post related experience
• Fluent business English; knowledge of another NATO member-state language is an asset
