Argotec is an Italian aerospace engineering company whose activities mainly concern the production of microsatellites for deep space and the development of innovative solutions in order to improve and to support the life and the comfort of space explorers. The company activities follow the “all in-house concept” including design, development, integration, qualification and operation services.

Responsibilities

The candidate will work independently and also in a team and will have to:

  • Develop and cultivate a thorough market understanding including new and current segments, and customer and competitor profiles
  • Work closely with executive management and program managers to successfully implement pursuit and capture strategies
  • Develop strategic plans and support competitive analyses
  • Develop price-to-win analyses
  • Manage and nurture NASA and DoD interfaces
  • Execute on the business development function with minimal supervision
  • Identify and implement key partnerships, alliances and improve business relationships
  • Acquire and disseminate market intelligence and competitor knowledge as relevant to product line
  • Lead/support coordination and execution of Tradeshows and customer visits

Profile

General requirements

  • Degree: BA in Business, Business Administration or related field; or/and BS in Aerospace/Space engineering or relevant technical discipline
  • Working experience: at least three (3) years of related experience in business development and sales experience in the aerospace industry is required; Five (5) years of related experience is preferred
  • Experience in an aerospace engineering design environment preferred
  • High flexibility and team-working skills
  • English fluency – effective oral and written communication skills
  • US citizenship w/ability to obtain and maintain US clearance

Required Experiences & Skills

  • Experience in the development and execution of strategic plans focused on specific long-term growth objectives
  • Ability to establish and maintain long term business relationships with US DoD and NASA personnel and key aerospace customers. Established network in the Defense & Aerospace industry preferred
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and sales tracking systems
  • Build, maintain and expand network of customer relationships
  • Experience in lead development, qualification, and closing sales
  • Ability to identify opportunities, create a business plan, qualify targets, assess decision-makers, and prioritize sales efforts
  • Ability to be a creative thinker who can contribute to the overall sales strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in achieving business growth objectives with minimum management oversight
  • Proven general capabilities in facilitating change, planning and organizing, customer focus and building successful teams
  • Strong level of demonstrated prospecting skills are required to help business unit leadership identify, prioritize and pursue new growth areas
