Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities

  • Takes the satellite technical lead and maintains a helicopter view in order to know what is going on and who is going to do what (all disciplines).
  • Steers the satellite team in the right direction (meeting the project planning,scope and cost).
  • Takes the necessary decisions (in close collaboration with the project manager and the project lead roles) to ensure that the goals are being met, avoiding vicious circles.
  • Defines/questions working steps/plans to pull the satellite project(in a straight line) towards satisfactory outcome (scanning for & avoiding undesired changes).

Key Accountabilities

  • Manages and/or ensures the project satellite requirements (all disciples).
  • Takes the end responsibility with regards to project verification/validation/VCD.
  • Ensures a compliant scope.
  • Steers technical problem solving (all disciplines) in the right direction (in order to meet planning, cost and scope).

Profile

Knowledge, skills and Personal Qualities Required

  • Work experience in Space (similar systems engineering role is a pre-requisite). Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic result-oriented team player with good communication skills at all levels, with the ability to clearly define approaches and objectives.
  • Day to day activities is about taking on the technical responsibility of a satellite project and follow-up/steer all technical disciplines, supporting and managing the requirements/test campaign. Ensure  successful delivery of the project.

Essential Qualifications

We expect candidates to hold a Masters degree, preferably in space studies, in engineering, electro mechanics, mechatronics or equivalent
