Responsibilities

• Perform antenna qualification and alignment tests
• Perform frequency assignments and link budget calculations for customers
• Monitor customers’ and transponder traffic to ensure all operations are within the Transponder Usage Agreement bounds
• Maintain database for all customer networks, uplink/downlink locations and network parameters
• Investigate and resolve signal interference such as illegal carriers and performance degradations
• Participate in development, setup & maintenance of Carrier Monitoring Systems. Fine tune and enhance monitoring mechanism from time to time upon requirement changes
• Prepare monthly traffic reports to customers and related parties
• Maintain the Satellite News Gathering (SNG) services database and perform Line-up test with SNG customers
• Maintain equipment’s health status and support earth station uplink / downlink operations.
• Prepare Sun Outage prediction for customers
• Report service incidents to customers or sales team and create traffic related trouble tickets. Maintain trouble ticket system
• Report and escalate all network/service problems in a timely manner
• Handle customers inquires and complaints on satellite traffic issues

Profile

• Bachelor degree in any Science / Technology related discipline, preferably in Telecommunications Engineering
• 2 years’ experience in network operation will be an advantage
• Knowledge in network (TCP/IP) or any high level programming knowledge will be beneficial
• Proficiency in Excel application and strong analytic capability
• Independent, a good team player with positive, proactive, flexible attitude and analytical thinking
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• Shift duty (including overnight shift) is required
• Working location in Tai Po
