Responsibilities

• Develop a well-rounded knowledge and understanding of the Engineering Process
• Works independently with minimum supervision, uses initiative to deliver functional or project objectives.
• Parameters are broad in scope and allow considerable latitude in problem solving and decision-making.
• Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and initiative.
• Expected to apply initiative and care with their work, judging who else to involve when problem solving, prioritise their own work within a plan, and work flexibly to meet urgent or unscheduled demands.
• Undertake more complex tasks under the supervision of more experienced staff

Profile

• Good level knowledge of their professional area and be relied upon to take responsibility for their work.
• Good technical/functional skills to a foundation degree standard or higher, relevant to area and job description.
• Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialisation to the completion of difficult assignments.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively, and influence and persuade
• Able to develop good working relationships with key people in the business
• Excellent inter-personal skills; assertive, approachable & empathetic, yet also resilient/robust
• Flexible and able to multi-task; managing a number of different issues simultaneously
• Able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines
