About the opportunity:

It’s boarding time!

Your purpose for the coming 6 months is to ensure raw material and parts schedules are current in order to meet operational demand and inventory strategy in line with MPS and MRP. Review weekly suppliers’ schedules and manage daily execution with suppliers, inbound receiving, transport companies and operations. Monitor supplier delivery performance and drive continuous improvement activities to improve delivery, cost and inventory performance. Keywords are: Planning & Scheduling, New Product Introduction Programmes , Purchasing (Supplier Performance), Logistics, Inbound, Warehouse  and Invoice management.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule the procurement of raw material and parts in line with inventory objectives and delivery constraints, and consistent with scheduling processes.
  • Ensure the availability of raw material by communicating with suppliers (internal and external) and by optimising the delivery lead times and the supplier quality of servicee.g. lot size, firm period, delivery frequency, orders transmission, etc…
  • Creation of purchase orders and sending them to the approved suppliers taking based on the respective supplier agreements.
  • Validate and communicate to suppliers all firm orders.
  • Make request for quotations and assess them together with the Buyer in case there is no supplier agreement.
  • Review forecast with suppliers.
  • Where necessary, organise and manage inbound raw material transportation to meet schedule requirements.
  • Anticipate any delivery delay from suppliers and manage emergency activities.
  • Ensure inputs to the raw material / Parts scheduling process parameters are regularly reviewed and monitored for accuracy using a defined business process and corrected accordingly (e.g. inventory accuracy, and other master data).
  • Provide inputs to the MPS process.
  • Ensure appropriate supply chain metric targets are achieved (e.g. supplier DSA (Delivery Schedule Adherence), Raw Material inventory turns).
  • Determine action plans to improve measures.
  • Manage quantity and dates communication to the suppliers.
  • Proactively communicate/escalate to the management team potential delivery issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions in order to mitigate supply failure risk.
  • Monitor Stock cover daily in order to avoid Stock outs.
  • Signalling of First Article Inspection.
  • Review and solve all open and blocked invoices.
  • Member of the multifunctional Supplier Account Team (Supplier managing).
  • Make proposals regarding organizational and process improvements related to the scheduling and logistical processes.

  • Experienced in a similar job in a technical environmet
  • Language Skills in both Dutch and English
