Responsibilities

Launching a rocket and operating satellites requires a symphony of multiple teams, multiple sites, and multiple complex systems working together towards mission success. Flight Operations software helps bring this orchestra together by providing operators with timely, accurate and beautiful presentation of control and system states. Operational Data software ensures that this valuable information is robustly captured and made available on-demand to those who need it most. Rocket Lab is seeking an Operations Software Team Lead who will provide vision, leadership, and project coordination to the Operational Software Teams in support of the Electron launch vehicle and Photon spacecraft.

Profile

Essential skills

  • Tertiary Diploma, Certificate or degree in Software Engineering,
  • Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience within a related field
  • Experience with leadership of software development staff
  • Product definition and development experience
  • Cloud application development experience
  • Desktop application development experience
  • Networked application development experience
