Responsibilities

The Development Test Technician carries out the various functions of the Mechanical Development and Test team in a largely autonomous fashion. Frequent contact is still expected. The role works closely with the production team, design engineers and analysts, assembly technicians and fitter / turners to achieve high quality products.

Profile

• Trade certificate or equivalent in relevant field, ideally with a mechanical background
• Knowledge of instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, etc.)
• Good understanding of pressure systems and good mechanical intuition.
• Creative, analytical, good at problem solving
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques, terminology, equipment and procedures
• Clear communication skills
• Calm under pressure
• Strong computer literacy
• Familiarity with the National Instruments ecosystem
• Good understanding of basic maths and how to apply it to physics problems.
