Sapienza Consulting, a tpgroup company is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to work out of our office in Skopje.
 
For our multicultural and geographically disbursed team we are looking for a communicative and motivated experienced DevOps Engineer who will play a key role in the design, maintenance, deployment of our Development Tools and Production Environments in the Cloud.
 
The role will mainly focus on supporting our developers, the Docker/Kubernetes-based development platforms and their software (Gitlab, Artifactory, SonarQube) but recurring systems administration tasks will also be an important part of the daily activities.
 
The DevOps engineer will furthermore assist in the creation of the DevOps roadmap for current enterprise and upcoming mobile products, exploring new technologies and opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the Development Team in the setup, provisioning and tuning of development and test environments
• Install, configure, maintain development tools
• Deploy and manage Production environments in the cloud and via remote-access at customer locations across Europe
• Investigate incidents and resolve software-infrastructure problems
• Analyse bottlenecks and optimise performance of system components and applications
• Continuous integration/Continuous Delivery through managing Gitlab-pipelines and deployment-scripts.

Profile

• Degree level or higher in computer science or engineering (or equivalent experience) with a background on the infrastructure side;
• At least 2 years technical experience related to server standards, server virtualization, server storage, security systems, remote access and LANs
• At least 2 years of experience in DevOps or systems administration, supporting developers
• Must have experience with:
• Linux (Red Hat/CentOS), Networking, Firewall-rules
• Virtualisation (VMWare)
• Containerization (Docker and Kubernetes)
• Support/management of Java development (JBoss, Tomcat, JVM)
• Additional experience in the following areas will be considered an advantage:
• Knowledge of database (Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL) and SQL language
• Continuous Integration (i.e. Gitlab)
• Working with Cloud-based environments
• Rundeck
• Puppet
• MongoDB
• Apache HTTP Server
• Familiarity with LDAP & SSO
• Experience with SaaS/IaaS;
• Strong team player with a proactive and problem-solving attitude;
• Focus on automation;
• Self-driven who keeps up-to-date with DevOps technology trends;
• Eligibility to work in the EU will be considered as an advantage.
