Overview of business area or project:Finance Change delivers projects for the CFO Division of the bank. Within the Finance Change organization this team delivers regulatory driven projects and projects which improve the capital management and efficiency of the bank.

The team has the objective to deliver the new reports for BASEL Pillar 3 Reporting.

Overview of the department/team (team size, backgrounds, personalities …): Finance Change delivers projects for the CFO Division of the bank. Within the Finance Change organization this team delivers regulatory-driven projects and projects which improve the capital management and efficiency of the bank.

The corresponding Finance Change team size in the area of regulatory projects is at the moment 15 staff. Furthermore, heavy interactions are required with the Finance, Risk and IT teams, which are located in Zurich and Lausanne.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and gathering of requirements from a reporting and sourcing perspective
• Liaise with the upstream data provider to ensure additional requirements are reflected accordingly
• Creating business test cases (including automated SQL scripts) against requirements
• Performing end to end business-level testing of the solution
• Working jointly with IT and business organizations to implement effective business solutions
• Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role: Creating quality requirements, test cases, and performing testing against a fixed Go Live deadline, while aligning with Finance business, Risk change, and IT teams.

Profile

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

• Consistent track record (7+ years) as senior business analyst within the banking sector
• Comprehensive experience in regulatory reporting and financial accounting (balance sheet analysis, P&L, capital calculations, RWA (Risk Weighted Assets)
• Technical knowledge including Data Warehousing (SQL – analysis and testing will be performed, compiling basic queries)
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Excel – (Pivot table, V-Look Up, Formulas)

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience of regulatory reporting tools (Axiom is used at CS).
• Comprehensive understanding of business processes and corresponding IT solutions
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills with attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a team player
•  Strong business acumen and ability to quickly understand regulatory requirements
• Atlassian Jira knowledge
• Appropriate business education within the financial accounting and regulatory reporting subject
• Ability to work under pressure, high level of flexibility and be able to handle multiple priorities and assignments with a proactive approach
• An open, communicative personality with excellent presentation and communication skills
• German language knowledge will be a benefit
