Are you a qualified Software Engineer, working in the Aerospace, Automotive or Rail sectors? Do you have current Embedded Software Development expertise, using C or ADA? This would be the perfect opportunity to apply and develop your experience, working on existing and new projects, with one of AKKA’s key customers in the Aerospace sector.

Following successful ongoing support and delivery of a wider package of work, under which we have provided system verification and validation support to a major civil aerospace programme, we are now seeking further talented Embedded Software engineers to join our existing AKKA team and working directly on the client’s site, you will support software development and verification activities on an electrical power distribution system.

Responsibilities

• Performing software development activities for the development of an embedded system in line with DO-178 and DAL B
• Writing Test procedures and Test Scripts and performing Unit testing
• Performing software verification, verification analysis, integration testing activities on an embedded system in line with DO-178 and DAL B
• Investigating and implementing problem reports and change requests
• Reviewing and re-working the design artifacts
• Performing tool qualification activities

Profile

• A relevant degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience of software development for embedded systems
• Demonstrable use of ADA, C or other embedded software languages
• An appreciation of aerospace standards such as DO-178
• Experience of Electronic Architecture
• Experience of DOORS
• Familiarity with Agile methods and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
