Sapienza Consulting, a tpgroup company, is recruiting a Mechanical Design Office Engineer for Sapienza to work on our Customers Site (ESA-ESTEC).
Sapienza has been a partner of ESA for over 20 years, and we pride ourselves in supporting a wide range of missions including Galileo, MTG, Copernicus and ExoMars. Our team is international with activities across the U.K., the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

This is a part-time (50%) position, from 01/01/2022 to 31/12/2022

Because the nature of the job, presence on site is expected for the whole duration of the Support Period.

Responsibilities

• Design of electro-mechanical test instrumentation in coordination with colleagues of the Electronic Design Office.
• Support to the implementation of the procurement plan of the Test Centre Division, by taking care of collecting and consolidating requirements, assess feasibility and initiate procurement/contractual actions
• Support to the development and maintenance of the 3D CAD models of the ESTEC Test Centre facilities
• Support to the ESTEC Test Centre investment, maintenance and study activities in the mechanical domain

Profile

• Master’s in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience
• Hands-on capabilities in integrating and testing measurement systems
• Working experience with CATIA V5 is required. Knowledge of 3D experience or Siemens NX is an asset
• Be able to work independently in the exploitation of his/her tasks, when not required differently
• Fluent in English; knowledge of another ESA member-state language is an asset
