Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Quality Engineer to work at NATO NCIA in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer will be responsible to ensure that the engineering, verification and validation and test processes applied and the work products generated in the fabrication process of AMDC2 products conform to their specified requirements and adhere to their established plans. This includes recording and reporting of deviations and follow-up on agreed measures.

The incumbent will report to H-QSAS.

  • Selects quality related requirements and criteria appropriate for a product in coordination with H-QSAS and project manager
  • Ensures that these requirements / criteria are unambiguously defined, testable and adequately covered in the engineering, verification & validation and test activities of a project
  • Systematically monitors the execution and performance of projects from a process / software / system quality aspect through attending the appropriate walkthroughs, reviews, audits and test activities
  • Reviews project artefacts to verify their compliance with the defined plans, requirements, standards, and regulations
  • Monitors the correct maintenance of the quality records within the projects
  • Records the result of monitoring and provides feedback for corrective, preventive and improvement measures to the project leader concerned and to H-QSAS when the feedback is outside of the project scope
  • Collects and analyses the metric data defined for the functions above and generates the appropriate evaluation reports

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • Knowledge of NATO Air Command and Control System and associated projects
  • Knowledge of NATO and NCI Agency processes and procedures
  • Be in possession of an NS Clearance
  • Recent experience in the field of quality management preferably within large scale distributed software intensive systems
  • Minimum a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at a nationally recognised / certified University in related discipline (technical field with substantial Information Technology (IT) content) and 2 years post related experience. Exceptionally, lack of university / college degree may be compensated by demonstration of candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCIA; that is, extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to function of post or progressive managerial experience in fields directly related to function of post
  • English: SLP 3333

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in field of software development or maintenance
  • Knowledge of relevant international and NATO policies and standards for quality (i.e. ISO 9001, CMMI) and safety management (e.g. IEC 61508)
  • Advanced university degree in a discipline relative to the function of the post
  • Qualified as an internal auditor and/or capability assessor in a recognized methodology (ISO 9001, SPICE or CMMI)
  • Training in verification / validation / test or in a related field
