Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Junior Data Scientist – ACT Innovation Lab to work at NATO NCIA in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Responsibilities

As part of their duties contractor will contribute to development of advanced Data Science tool sets in form of Minimum Viable Products (MVP). MVPs will demonstrate potential of data science to address current operational needs, as prototype for new capabilities. MVPs will be selected in accordance with priorities defined by Allied Command Transformation (ACT) Innovation Lab Product Managers during period of performance.

It is not expected that all operational challenges listed below will be selected for MVP development. Each MVP will result in a software tool expected to perform the following:

  • Extract, transform, load of relevant data sources
  • Run Data Science Models to process available data
  • Visualisation of data, including reports, interactive dashboards, near real time dashboards

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • Use of data science tools to support data analytics, data visualisation and metrics
  • Knowledge in working within Big Data ecosystem
  • Knowledge with state-of-the-art data science, analytics and data integration tools / programming language, for example: KNIME, Jupyter Notebook, Python, R
  • Use of machine learning / AI e.g. TensorFlow; , Keras, PyTorch, scikit-learn
  • Knowledge in Computer Vision (Image, Video Analysis)
  • Use of data science tools to support data analytics, data visualisation and metrics
  • Experience with data visualization tools: for example Microsoft Power BI; Tableau
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art machine learning / AI models: for example BERT, ELMoXLNet, GPT-2
  • Development and maintaining data marts and ETL processes, both batch-wise and near-realtime
  • Knowledge of mathematical and statistical models
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, with good briefing skills
  • Working with Public and Open Source Data is an advantage
  • Working in area of Logistics is an advantage
