Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to work at NATO NCIA in Mons, Belgium.

Responsibilities

Under Operations Centre Service Line Chief, incumbent will perform duties such as:

• Planning, implementation and management of assigned projects and in accordance with appropriate NATO regulations and NCIA project management policies and procedures
• Development of procurement strategy, benefit risk analyses, business case to secure sponsor acceptance and funding
• Execute necessary Quality Assurance functions essential to successful delivery of capability and services
• Deliver projects within defined Time, Cost and Quality tolerances
• Participate in other project management related activities
• Undertake relevant technical support activities
• Performs other duties as may be required

Profile

• Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
• Bachelor’s degree at nationally recognised/certified University in related discipline, such as Engineering or Applied Science and 2 years post related experience
• Recent experience in successful Project Management of major C4ISR acquisition and/or development projects for a large organization
• Recognised formal Project Management qualification, PRINCE2 or PMP. Lack of formal qualifications can be compensated by demonstration of expertise and experience in domain
• Experience in planning, design, system engineering and implementation of communication aspects of C4ISR systems
• Knowledge of configuration management concepts, system lifecycle management and quality management
• Proven ability to work well in a team in his/her field of activity
• Proven ability to communicate effectively orally, using tact and diplomacy, and in writing with good briefing skills

Desirable Experience and Education:

• Proven success as a project team manager/leader in C4ISR acquisition projects
• ITIL Foundation Level Certification
• Knowledge of NATO or national governmental acquisition policy and procurement procedures
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
• Technical leadership experience
• Project Management automation tools (MS-Enterprise Project Management)
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation
