Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Voice Engineer to work at NATO NCIA in Mons, Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Direct 2nd and 3rd level fault resolution of deployable and transportable Voice Elements with operational, exercise, and garrison locations in coordination with Service Area Voice cell.
  • Be prepared to do on-call support during out of business hours on rotation basis
  • Update baseline configurations as directed.
  • Advises on fault diagnosis throughout deployable network environment utilizing number of management platforms (e.g.HP Network Automation, Netscout, CA Spectrum)
  • Ensure that on Voice elements, routine maintenance is performed
  • Coordinate with detachments to implement Voice elements standardisation and best practices liaise and collaborate internally throughout NCI Agency Service Line infrastructures and to external organisations for fault rectification activities as required
  • Responsible for maintenance and creation of Standard Operating Procedures within Deployable CIS area of VoiceCell
  • Performing operation and maintenance activities for current NATO operations (e.g. KFOR, OAE, and RS)
  • Coordinates and performs voice infrastructures configuration, numbering plans and maintenance activities for all NATO exercise scenarios
  • Operate provided management tools and capabilities
  • Investigate and propose long term solutions to encountered equipment and configuration problems

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • Diploma from vocational school in communications related subject, or equivalent level of work experience in field of IP telephony or unified communications
  • Proven experience in configuration and operation of VoIP systems
  • Proven experience with CISCO based VoIP solutions (CUCM 10.5 or higher)
  • Proven experience in configuration of Session Border Controllers (CUBE)
  • Deployment, configuration of secure voice features
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, methodical approach to resolving technical issues
  • Working knowledge of SIP, H.323 signaling protocols
  • Working knowledge of virtual environments (VMWare, ESXi, vSphere, vCenter)
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to learn and develop new skills and share knowledge with colleagues

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft’s Skype for Business
  • Knowledge of Contact Center Express (UCCX)
  • Minimum qualification of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Experience with monitoring platforms and protocols (spectrum, SNMP)
  • Scripting experience ideally in Python
  • Ability to navigate, influence and negotiate with all levels of organization, business partners, customers and users
  • Strong communication skills and ability to be concise in both written and verbal communications
  • Prior experience of working in international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
