Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a FMN Architecture Support to join NATO – NCIA, at Brussels, Belgium

Responsibilities

  • Intent of this initiative is to address the specific requirements in WP5 – to support development of architecture models and content adhering to standards and methods defined by the Architecture CaT and maintain this in FMN architecture repository to provide the FMN Affiliates with reference documentation, tools, architecture building blocks and tailored models, arranged per topic, syndicate, instructions and spiral. This architecture repository will serve as a data-driven decision support tool supporting leadership of the Capability Planning Working Group (CPWG)
  • Per FMN Spiral Specification the architecture repository will provide the basic elements of an Interoperability Architecture that includes models created by CPWG Architecture Requirements Syndicate (CARS). The FMN interoperability architecture needs to be fully aligned with the C3 Taxonomy and where necessary, change proposals will be submitted to the proper authorities to change, improve and update that taxonomy to follow the developments in FMN Framework in line with Reference D Work Package 6 C3 Taxonomy Support
  • Under direction of WP5 Lead, support FMN CPWG in development of content of the Interoperability Architecture per FMN Spiral Specification, aligned with C3 Taxonomy, in close cooperation with the CARS
  • Under direction of WP5 Lead, support FMN CPWG to develop and improve FMN Architecture Repository in support of FMN
  • Under direction of WP5 Lead, submit change proposals for improvement and further maturation of C3 Taxonomy, in consideration of developments in FMN Framework
  • Under direction of WP5 Lead, contractor will be responsible for developing and refining Archimate 3.1 models for inclusion in Interoperability Architecture
  • Architect will work primary off-site and employ non-classified teleconferencing and remote working practices. Contractor may be expected to conduct an initial kickoff meeting, and subsequent regular checkpoint meetings, physically with WP5 Lead in Brussels area of Belgium
  • A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 checkpoint meetings are expected (i.e. 1 – 2 times per month over the period of performance)
  • The schedule for these meetings will be mutually agreed between contractor and the WP5 Lead
  • All resources (Architecture Repository, FMN Spiral Specifications, etc) are accessible from open internet with correct user credentials. Suitable Unclassified hardware and modelling software will be provided to contractor for modelling support. However, it is expected that the contractor will make use of existing internet connectivity and this will not be provided
  • Contractor support will be remote. Contractor will be expected to attend physical check-point meetings in Brussels area of Belgium. Travel and per diem costs will be reimbursed in accordance with NATO Travel Regulations. There is a small possibility that incumbent may be required to undertake duty travel to Europe to NCI Agency Sites in execution of this SOW. If so there will be a maximum of 2 duty trips required in the period of performance and these will be no more than than 3 days in duration. All travel will be agreed by the WP5 Lead

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO SECRET
  • Organized, self-motivated Architect / Modeller with experience of applying business analysis techniques in International Military Environment
  • Must have proven track record in analyzing, defining and designing architecture models and perspectives using Archimate 3.x
  • Must have experience of NATO and demonstrate deep knowledge of NATO Command Structure, NATO C3 Sub Structure and NATO Functional Services and Capabilities
  • Must demonstrate familiarity with content and employment of NATO C3 Taxonomy and NATO Mission Thread Concept
  • Experience in use of ARIS Process Modelling Toolset is highly desirable
  • Experience in use of Archi tool for modelling using Archimate 3.x is highly desirable
  • Experience in use of Archi JScript language for scripting and automation with Archi is highly desirable
