Sapienza Consulting is recruiting Engineer (Core Services) to join NATO-NCIA, at Norfolk, Virginia, United States

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary System Administrator for NU, NR and NS AIS systems in CSU AoR
  • Direct and oversee installation and maintenance of server operating systems and applications related to delivery of Core Enterprise Services
  • Monitor assigned systems and services to ensure availability in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Analyse and troubleshoot performance metrics and suggest service improvement plans (SIPs)
  • Support creation of SIPs with goal of increasing service quality and efficiency
  • Provide engineering support for design and implementation of computer security best practices
  • Perform detailed engineering analysis and configure NU/NR/NS architectures IAW NCSC guidance
  • Support HQ SACT transformation mission with subject matter expertise on computer security, domain architecture, virtualisation and other relevant topics
  • Lead ITIL Problem Management process, and contribute to Incident Management, Change Management and Continuous Service Improvement
  • Develop and maintain Disaster Response Plans (DRPs) for assigned systems
  • Test and execute these plans in accordance with overarching CSU DRP

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in related discipline and 2 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, lack of university degree may be compensated by at least 6 years progressive expertise in duties related to function of this post
  • Experience supporting core enterprise services such as:
  • System Administration on a large computer network
  • Windows & Linux Operating Systems
  • Active Directory & Group Policy Management
  • Virtualisation of servers and desktops
  • Use of scripting to automate tasks
  • Large scale system management tools, such as SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager)
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing projects
  • Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Knowledge and experience with ITIL Problem Management
