Sapienza Consulting, a tpgroup company, is recruiting an NCI Academy Stakeholder Manager to join NATO – NCIA in Oeiras, Lisbon, Portugal.

Responsibilities

  • As the NCI Academy Stakeholder Manager maintains continuous communication with Academy stakeholders at the executive level, initiates actions and organizes Academy Board meetings and related events
  • Performs the function of the Change Manager and coordinates all Change Management activities in Academy
  • Performs the function of Benefits Realization Manager (BRM) of Academy
  • Manages Strategic Communications for the Academy, in coordination with Agency Executive Management
  • Drafts formal correspondence and presentations on behalf of Academy Director
  • Supports and coordinates all engagements with Industry and Academia as stakeholders of the Academy
  • Plans and supports all Director level efforts in Oeiras
  • Compile reports and briefings as directed by Executive Agency management
  • Generates recurring reports to Executive management, including GM/COS on Academy actions and deliverables
  • Supports Director in his responsibility as Agency executive in Portugal
  • This includes interfacing with Host Nation Portugal at the executive level and other community stakeholders
  • Oversees management of Academy staff, including:
  • Performance management
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Recruitment and onboarding
  • Training requirements
  • Morale and welfare
  • Oversees protocol support to Agency on behalf of Director
  • Maintains professional relationships with co-workers within the Agency and with staff of other NATO organisations
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties, if required
  • Travel: – Business travel to NATO and national (NATO and non-NATO) facilities as well as occasional travel between the NCIA offices
  • May be required to undertake duty travel to operational theatres inside and outside NATO boundaries
  • Supervisory/Guidance Duties: The incumbent supervises 2 administrative staff and must be able to give professional guidance to staff

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • Essential Experience and Education:
  • Experience dealing with senior boards, leadership and senior management
  • Demonstrated excellence in business writing
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, with a proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Exposure to and positive experiences in working in a rapidly changing organisation
  • A Master’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified university in a related discipline and 5 years post-related experience
  • Or a Bachelor’s degree or higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 8 years post-related experience
  • Recognized Certification on Change Management and/or significant working experience
  • Experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
  • Demonstrated skills in use of personal computer office automation packages, particularly Microsoft applications and inclusive of SharePoint and workflows
  • Ability to take initiative and a flexible approach allowing the incumbent to respond reliably and competently to changing requirements in a demanding environment
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to be responsive and sensitive to both external and internal customers and staff
  • Experience in Staff and Performance Management
  • Experience in planning and essentially implementing strategies
  • Desirable Experience and Education:
  • A good knowledge of NATO organization and procedures, the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations and other relevant financial and administrative directives
  • Practical experience in working for other NATO agencies or organizations
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including, NATO HQ, ACO and ACT
  • Experience in working with governing bodies/boards
  • Language Proficiency: – A very good knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential and some knowledge of the other is desirable
  • Some experience in spoken and written Portuguese is advantageous
  • NOTE: Most of the work of the NCI Agency is conducted in the English language
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU
