Sapienza Consulting, a tpgroup company, is recruiting a Project Manager to join NATO – NCIA in Mons, Wallonia, Belgium.

You will work in a small team Project Management Support (Various) which focusses on the project planning for CIS cabling, network connectivity, installation and distribution activities for the implementation of the new SHAPE Command Facilities.

You will undertake the execution of a range of important technical, CIS and engineering tasks.

This role requires sound technical background in the civil works, electrical and CIS management and the ability to demonstrate tact as a member of multinational technical and project teams.

It further includes co-operating closely with contractors as well as internal stakeholders in diverse organizations.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Principal Project Manager, your duties will be as follows:

• Building Electrical Engineer for overseeing the provision of power and AC for all distribution rooms and UPS backup systems
• Responsible for coordination of CIS requirements with the SHAPE Customer and NCIA Engineers
• Translating the User’s operational requirements into relevant CIS (Computers, Telephony, and AVI equipment)
• Developing business cases for project funding for new buildings as it relates to CIS Systems / Data and Operation Centres

Profile

• Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret

Education

• A university degree in Electronic Systems, Power Engineering, Project Management or closely related scientific or engineering discipline qualifications
• Exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of particular abilities and at least five years’ experience of interest to the Agency

Knowledge/Experience:

• Experience (at least five years) in various areas of engineering and Project Management including the following:
• Experience in the Design and implementation of power systems for Data and Operations Centres.
• Evaluating electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and implementing them in a large CIS Organization
• Applying knowledge of CIS, electricity and materials in construction sites in a medium to large scale project
• Confirms systems and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods in accordance to industry standards
• Implement electrical and CIS products by studying customer requirements and transferring them into implementation plans
• Experience in implementing heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems in a data centre
• Experience in building automation and security systems as it relates to CIS
• Designing and implementing diesel generators for back-up power supplies
• Building UPS Systems in particular for supporting CIS Systems in an Operations / Data Centre(s)
• Experience in refrigeration and building lighting and electrical systems
