Sapienza Consulting, a tpgroup company, is recruiting a Technical Implementation Manager to join NATO – NCIA in Mons, Wallonia, Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the NCIA Project Manager, and project representative at sites in scope
  • Coordinate technical implementation activities at all sites in scope
  • Co-ordinate the deployment of network security components (including Cisco Firepower NIPS and RSA NetWitness FPC) by third party engineers
  • Ensure the accurate documentation of site deployment activities, and smooth transition of technical capabilities into Service Operations
  • Co-ordinate with NATO entities to ensure supplier activities are delivered to expectations
  • Coordinate with NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Service Delivery Management Section to ensure all components are correctly registered in the NCSC CMDB
  • Provide periodic reporting (internal and external) and prepare ad hoc reports and assessments
  • Assure timely delivery and high quality of deliverables
  • Maintain communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • The implementation at most sites will be for longer than one week – so the resource will be required to remain in location for the duration, and may transfer to the next site directly
  • Tier-2 support at Mons during Tier-3 deployments may be required in support of implementation, configuration and testing tasks
  • Step in as the project representative to resolve issues in aspects such as logistics, decommissioning, site access, change management etc

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret

 

Essential experience

  • Experience of installation, implementation and testing of cyber security equipment, specifically CISCO Firepower Management Console, CISCO NIPS/NIDS, RSA NetWitness Full Packet Capture (FPC), IXIA Aggregators and Juniper firewall components
  • Experience with the implementation of NATO or military communication and information systems
  • A minimum of 3 (three) years of experience as an engineering team leader
  • Experience of field deployment of NATO cyber infrastructure
  • Experience of managing/co-ordinating third party engineers with field deployments at diverse locations
  • Cable management; cable tracing; cable labelling; cable documentation
  • Network documentation (Visio networking diagrams L2 and L3)
  • Datacentre documentation (room layout, physical, logical configuration)
  • Proven ability to operate on own initiative
  • Proven ability to liaise with local site personnel (security, logistics, technicians, command)
  • Domain knowledge in cyber security area in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with good briefing skills
  • Experience with supporting Operational testing and service transition
  • Experience in delivering training to L1 and L2 engineering support at remote sites

 

Desirable experience

  • CISCO networking (nexus or catalyst)
  • Juniper (srx) configuration (IPSEC VPN configuration in detail)
  • Technical documentation writing (detailed state description of physical and logical configuration in datacentre environment)
  • Certifications: Networking qualifications (Cisco, RSA etc.), ITIL foundation
  • Linux experience
  • Operations environment experience (processes in OPS)
  • Change management processes (preferably NATO ITSM experience)
