Sapienza Consulting, a tpgroup company, is recruiting a Head of Corporate Academy to join NATO – NCIA in Brussels, Belgium.

Responsibilities

As directed by the EMB and under the direction of the NCI Academy Director, the incumbent will lead the NCI Agency Corporate Academy by performing duties as below:

  • Responsible for the provision of all learning and professional development services to the NCI Agency staff
  • Develop the organization’s educational process and improve all Agency learning coherence through learning opportunities plus provision of capacity for knowledge transfer, retention and lessons learned therein
  • Oversee and support the NCI Agency Corporate Academy Core Team, exercising general supervision, ensuring the effective utilization of assigned personnel and allocated resources
  • Supervise the requisition, receipt and execution of the budget required for the provision of learning and professional development services
  • Stay abreast with and participate in the development of current and future plans and projects related to continuous organizational learning
  • Engage with external training suppliers, experts and key stakeholders
  • Give briefings and presentations; write and/or review papers and articles; present, report and evaluate findings based on training data as required
  • Ensure continuous improvement and maintain state of the art competencies Agency staff, recommending required training and team’s skills improvements
  • Perform other duties as may be required

Profile

  • The candidate must have a NATO SECRET security clearance
  • A Master’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 5 years post-related experience
  • Or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years post related experience
  • Broad experience in managing learning/training and professional development activities for a large organization
  • Extensive skills analysing data and information as input for the formulation of strategic plans, monitoring progress towards goals, and calibrating programs
  • Experience establishing, developing and maintaining productive relationship with key stakeholders
  • Experience leading, managing and coordinating geographically disbursed and virtual teams
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with good briefing skills
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint

 

Desirable Experience and Education:

  • Experience working, maintaining and/or developing Learning Management Systems
  • Prior experience in a “corporate university” construct
  • Experience managing instructional design, academic planning and programmes in a tertiary / vocational / corporate environment
  • Ability in data and information management and analysis
  • Prior experience of working in an international environment
