Sapienza Consulting, a tpgroup company, is recruiting a JTS/FAST System Support Engineer to join NATO – NCIA in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands (Remote).

Responsibilities

The main objectives of this statement of work can be summarized as follow:

  • Support and maintain the JTS/FAST development and test environment
  • Install and deploy JTS/FAST application and other relevant COTS products
  • Automate and test deployment of JTS/FAST application and other relevant COTS products
  • Develop/update system and support documentation
  • Attend virtual and in-person meetings

 

Under the direction/guidance of a solution architect and test director, the system support engineer will support and maintain the JTS/FAST development and test environment. This includes the following activities:

  • The work will be carried out accessing remotely the engineering/test facilities in the NCI Agency laboratories. These facilities consists of all necessary development platforms, servers, web servers, etc. to support the software lifecycle. The contractor shall update the status of the JTS/FAST tasks in JIRA and test procedures and test results in Zephyr. Some of the work could also be requested to be conducted locally in NCI Agency in The Hague, The Netherlands.
  • The contractor will be part of a team (project manager, technical lead, software developers, etc.) geographically distributed and will work using an Agile and iterative approach using multiple sprints. Each sprint is planned for a rough duration of 3 weeks with an average 38 hours per week.

Profile

  • The candidate must have a NATO SECRET security clearance

 

The consultancy support for this work requires a system support engineer with the following qualifications:

  • The candidate has relevant and recent experience in DevOps automation (e.g. certification), especially in the Continuous Deployment aspects
  • The candidate has relevant and recent experience in using Oracle LINUX and/or Red Hat RHEL / CentOS Ansible automation tool
  • The candidates have relevant and recent experience in using development tools (e.g. Maven, Jira, Zephyr) and methodologies (e.g. Agile)
  • The candidate has relevant and recent experience in continuous software integration and automated testing
  • The candidate has relevant and recent experience in using Kubernetes
  • The candidate has relevant and recent experience in testing/deployment automation
  • The candidate has relevant and recent experience in working with a software development team
  • The candidates have relevant and recent experience in documenting source code and design, online help
  • The candidate is able to speak and write fluent English since the work is conducted in English
  • The candidate has a NATO SECRET security clearance, provided by the national security organization valid at the time of submission of the bid covering the period of the requirement
  • The candidate must have the nationality of one of the NATO nations
  • The candidate has relevant and recent knowledge and usage of JTS and FAST

 

Practical experience in the following areas is also desired:

  • The candidate has relevant and recent experience in supporting the NATO Joint Targeting Cycle (e.g. Targeteer)
  • The candidate has relevant and recent experience in verifying functional and nonfunctional requirements (e.g. development and execution of test cases, test data, etc.).
