About this job

As a IPLC Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for evaluating the existing International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC) contracts in place with the current Service Provider.

You will re-evaluate the requirement in collaboration with the Capacity Management Team, renegotiating contracts with the leased lines providers.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out mobilisation tasks under the direction of the Capacity Manager in accordance with the Mobilisation Plan
  • Review and audit Incumbent Service Provider process and procedure related to IPLC’s
  • Build sourcing strategies for IPLC’s and influence the Strategic Sourcing Plan
  • Review and familiarise themselves with the existing IPLC contracts in place with the Incumbent
  • Develop the new IPLC contract requirements in support of developing new Statements of Work (SoW)
  • Lead direct negotiations with IPLC Service Providers to maximise value and ensure timely execution of negotiations and sourcing strategy
  • Provide relevant inputs into Leased Lines business strategies, roadmap, plans and budgeting & forecasting process
  • Lead / support the negotiation of commercial Terms & Conditions and contracts with carriers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and act as a recognised subject matter expert within wider team, local market and external partners
  • Document the Interface Control Documents and necessary codes of connections
  • Contribute to review and update all processes related with IPLC procurement & management

Profile

  • Procurement and/or sourcing experience within a service provision environment
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry or previous role at a major carrier
  • Deep understanding of sourcing and procurement discipline and strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Experience in managing RFIs/RFPs/RFQs
  • Understanding of contracts and legal principals
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and ability to brief at mid/senior level
  • Experience in or exposure to negotiating medium/high complexity non-standard agreements
  • Experience of working with complex international suppliers/programmes
  • Critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Flexible / resourceful approach, independent problem solver
  • Must be able to achieve SC
