Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a JOCWatch and SEW Middleware Engineer to join NATO – NCIA in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands.
The NATO Information and Communication Agency (NCI Agency) located in The Hague, The Netherlands, is currently involved in the development of new capabilities for NATO as well as in the support of existing capabilities. In light of these activities, the C2 Centre is looking for an experienced software engineer. More specifically, the work will support the full software development life cycle for SEW (Shared Early Warning) and JOCWatch.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the NCI Agency project team, the software engineer will be in charge of SEW and JOCWatch software management. This includes the following activities:
- Design and Implement software changes as required using Microsoft DevOps
- Support the development of the front-end application and communication with back end services
- Support bug fixing and stability improvements
- Attend virtual and in-person meetings
The contractor will be part of a team (project manager, technical lead, software developers, etc.) and will work using an Agile and iterative approach using multiple sprints. Each sprint is planned for a duration of 2 weeks. The content and scope of each sprint will be agreed with the project manager and the technical lead during the sprint-planning meeting.
Profile
- Required Currently Active Security Clearance: NATO SECRET
The consultancy support for this work requires a software developer with the following qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of SEW and JOCWatch architecture and code base
- Deep knowledge of SOA&IdM (Service Oriented Architecture and Identity Management) framework.
- University degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
- Fluent in English
- Math skills and analytic mind
- Software design and development experience
- UX/UI development experience (including producing screens mock-ups)
- Strong writing skills for technical and user documentation
- Strong communications skills to communicate effectively with the users, colleagues and contractors involved in the project
- Strong experience in Web HTML5 application development (single page application, line of business application) – Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience with Web Services and Web applications
- Proven experience with Typescript
- Experience with Git source control
Preferable:
- Familiarity with Microsoft stacks and technology
- Experience with ASP.Net MVC
- Experience with JAVA
- In depth knowledge of .Net Web API or similar
- In depth knowledge of C#
- Experience Microsoft Azure Devops
- Experience with APACHE CAMEL and KAFKA
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle Server
- Proven ability to integrate and work in a multinational team
