Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Cyber Security Specialist to join NATO – NCIA in Mons, Wallonia, Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of improved cyber security capabilities, primarily in support of two major Agency CIS initiatives; Information Technology Modernisation, and “Capability Package 120” [CIS Security]
  • Installation, configuration, and testing of firewalls, routers, switches, network proxies, VPN concentrators to maximise network efficiency and security according NCSC Operational needs
  • Installation, configuration, and testing of vulnerability assessment tools (e.g. Tenable Nessus), and computer forensics tools (e.g. AccessData)
  • Installation, configuration, and testing of monitoring tools/appliances and incidence response tools (e.g., RSA Netwitness, Splunk).
  • Installation, configuration, and testing of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare NSX-T)
  • Implementation of security settings relating to any of Cisco, Juniper, Linux, Unix, Microsoft operating systems
  • Assessing network performance and availability through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting by using networking experience and management applications
  • Investigation of faults in the network and developing and implementing proposed improvements

Profile

  • NATO SECRET Security Clearance

 

Greater than 5 years of experience with the following:

  • General, wide breadth knowledge of cyber security principles, best practices, concepts and technology
  • Solid knowledge of cyber security tools and their configuration, including configuration and integration of boundary protection components (e.g. firewalls, NIPs, HIPs, diodes), encryption, identity and access management, monitoring and detection, incidence response, vulnerability assessments, computer forensics and risk management
  • Knowledge and recent/relevant experience in the following technologies: Juniper and Palo Alto, web application proxy, RSA Netwitness, Splunk, Tenable Nessus, AccessData
  • Design and configuration of various IT infrastructure elements Skill, Knowledge & Experience: within projects
  • Experience in routing and switching and virtualisation technologies (e.g.,VMWare)
  • Proven ability to deliver technology/systems/solutions/capabilities for industry, government, or military, including deployment to operational military areas
  • Experience with implementation projects within NATO and/or National military organizations is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and in teams to achieve the desired goals, including the ability to monitor and support a team of industry
  • Excellent communications and writing skills in English
