Sapienza Consulting is recruiting an ITM Packaging Engineer to join NATO – NCIA, at Mons, Wallonia, Belgium.

The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCI Agency) located in Mons, Belgium is currently involved in the implementation of new Software Packaging capability for NATO as well as in the support of existing capabilities. In light of these activities, the Core Enterprise Services (CES) Service Line (SL) is looking for experience Software Packaging engineers.

Responsibilities

CES Service Line has a requirement for subject matter experts to be embedded with a team of NCI Agency staff in support of the IT Modernization Work Package (WP) 9.1 – Software Packaging capability.

The contractor will provide services on‐site in Mons/Braine L’Alleud and regularly coordinate their efforts with the WP 9.1 Project Manager, Technical Lead and the Team.

The main responsibilities are focused on:

• Package application deployments for the scope of provisioning in the dedicated packaging environment
• Implementation and validation of the Software Packaging tools based on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and App Volumes supporting thin and thick clients
• Development of the Software Packaging processes in coordination with the SMC Service Line
• Packaging Commercial off the shelf(COTS) and NATO off the shelf(NOTS) software using existing pre‐production toolsets based on VMWare AppVolumes, MECM and MSIX
• Exporting Software Packages from pre‐production environment to the newly implemented production ITM networks
• Test the applications via application provisioning
• Providing technical support for existing and new ITM Packaging tools

This the required support is to supplement the current level of expertise within the CES SL, therefore the contractor must be ready and quickly integrate with the current team.

Profile

For the execution of this contract, an engineer with the following qualifications is required:

• The candidate must have a NATO SECRET security clearance
• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in applications packaging (MSI, MSIX, App‐V, App Volumes, MECM)
• Sound knowledge of scripting (PowerShell) including provisioning/changing Azure resources
• Hands on experience in building virtual machines, snapshot, DRS concept, clustering hosts
• Experience in VMWare Horizon, creating and tweaking gold images according to Microsoft guidance using the latest recommendations
• Sound knowledge of VMWare Horizon Linked Clones, Instant Clones and Thin App
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong problem‐solving skills
• Expertise in information technology domains such as Cloud Computing and IT Infrastructures
