Sapienza Consulting is recruiting Senior System Test Engineers to join NATO – NCIA in The Hague, Netherlands.
Responsibilities
System Test Plan
To establish the deliverable, the team will:
- Support development of test plan for Factory acceptance test, sprint review, NAMF acceptance test, Rollout activity
- Support scenarios, database in cooperation with peers and operational crew from aspiring operational ACCS sites
- Keep this library up to date including milestone in TestRail
- Perform any related activity within this scope as deemed appropriate and required to establish the deliverable
Test Case / Procedure
To establish the deliverable, the team will:
- Support development of a library of Test Case / Procedure / checklists, cheat sheets and aides to support test execution
- Keep this library up to date including Regression test catalogue, load and cycle and interface test
- Adapt files used during development and operational testing, in factory, in NAMF and onsite
- Dry run and validate test procedure / case in the NATO ACCS Maintenance Facility
- Perform any related activity within this scope as deemed appropriate and required to establish the deliverable
Test Run /Logs
To establish the deliverable, the team will:
- Dry-run test procedure / case or exploratory testing
- Execute them or observe the execution
- Record in TestRail or in an ITL (independent test log) / Master Test Log) execution including
- Record the test charter in case of exploratory testing
- Perform any related activity within this scope as deemed appropriate and required to establish the deliverable
System Test Report
To establish the deliverable, the team will:
- Contribute to the drafting of any test report
- Perform Test summary for rollout test including Load and Cycle and interface test
- Evaluate the validation status of all requirements within their assigned operational or technical area of expertise including PTR coverage matrix or VCRI
- Perform any related activity within this scope as deemed appropriate and required to establish the deliverable
- Exceptionally, contribution to and drafting of a report outside the assigned operational or technical area of expertise, but within the team’s general domain of expertise will be required
Problem/Observation Reports
To establish the deliverable, the team will:
- Report all defects and deficiencies related to their assigned requirement set observed during test activities
- Cover them in the report on their assigned area of expertise and have them added to the relevant backlog ( JIRA, ITSM , PTR, …)
- Follow up on the resolution of these observations and assist in the validation thereof
- Perform any related activity within this scope as deemed appropriate and required to establish the deliverable
Profile
The following expertise and knowledge is essential for this contract:
- The candidates must have a currently valid NATO SECRET security clearance
- A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified university in a related discipline or exceptionally, the lack of a university/college degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to the NCI Agency and 12 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to this position
- Good knowledge of, and practical experience in, modern test engineering and test management methods and paradigms
- Good knowledge of, and practical experience in, the operational or technical use of Air C2 systems supported by NCI Agency for areas such as system administration, C2 Resource Management, Force Management, Airspace Management, Air Mission Control or Surveillance
- Candidate must have the nationality of one of the NATO nations
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
The following expertise and knowledge are desirable for this contract:
- Experience interpreting and/or capturing business and user requirements through use cases and developing test cases accordingly
- Recent experience in planning and execution of validation activities within large-scale C2 exercises
- Knowledge of NATO Tactical Data Links and other military or civilian interoperability standards for messaging and data exchange related to air traffic
- General up-to-date knowledge of computer system architectures, systems security, client/server, LAN/WAN and network concepts, test techniques, Database Management Systems (DBMS) and data management concepts
