Sapienza Consulting, a Serco company, is recruiting a NATO Secret cleared Project and Service Management (Staff Officer), to work on the AAS Project at NATO-NCIA, with work location in Mons, Wallonia, Belgium.

Responsibilities

Duties and Role

Under the direction of the Head Business and Resource Management, the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:

Project Management

  • Facilitate and enable the integration of new and/or modernized capabilities within the ESOC;
  • Assure the ESOC requirements and acceptance criteria are taken into account and addressed in any project impacting the ESOC operations;
  • Analyse and validate the relevant Service Delivery Packages (SDP) concerning the ESOC and in particular the associated processes, tools, documentation and training materials;
  • Plan, implement and manage assigned projects (i.e. ISO/IEC 20000 ESOC certification, NDEC facility integration and relocation, etc.) in accordance with the appropriate NATO regulations and NCIA project management policies and procedures;
  • Execute the necessary Quality Assurance functions essential to the successful delivery of capabilities and services as well as their integration within the ESOC;
  • Deliver projects within defined Time, Cost and Quality tolerances;
  • Participate in other project management related activities; • Undertake relevant technical support activities;

Service Management

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support ESOC Service Management and its integration with the NCIA Service Management System.
  • Create, coordinate and publish relevant documentation ensuring its integration / reference with the existing documents, as required.
  • Support and lead the ESOC ISO/IEC 20000 certification effort by coordinating the successful execution of all related activities at all stages;
  • Assist in all the day-to-day activities associated with the ESOC service management tasks and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the ESOC effort to automate and improve the IT Service Management toolsets. • Assist in the analysis and administration of ESOC SLM / CRM related key performance indicators and recommend / draft Service Improvement Plan initiatives to address possible shortfalls.

Profile

  • NATO Secret security clearance
  • A Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised / certified University in a related discipline.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in Project Management;
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in Service Management practices with particular emphasis to Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement;
  • A recognised and still valid Project Management certification, such as PRINCE 2 or similar, at practitioner level.
  • A recognised and still valid Service Management certification, such as ITIL or ISO/IEC 20000, at practitioner level.
  • Knowledge of configuration management concepts, system life cycle management and quality management.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally, using tact and diplomacy, and in writing with good briefing skills.
  • Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
  • Knowledge and experience in Project Management tools;
  • Knowledge and experience in IT Service Management tools;
  • Experience in successfully leading multi-functional teams as a self-motivated decision maker, anticipating risks, taking initiative and acting as a Change Champion.

Desirable Experience and Education:

  • Experience in developing and managing KPI’s and metrics;
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.
