Sapienza Consulting, a Serco company, is recruiting a NATO Secret cleared Oracle EBS – Applications Database Administrator, to work on the AAS Project at NATO-NCIA, with work location in Mons, Wallonia, Belgium.

Responsibilities

Duties & Role:

The incumbent will be responsible for FinS Service Lifecycle Management activities and will work as part of the SSBA BA FinS Service Delivery team. Under the overall direction of the FinS Service Owner and Service Delivery Manager, the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:

  • Being responsible for the assigned business applications and services.
  • Providing 2nd and 3rd line support to the assigned business applications, by responding to service requests, investigating and resolving incidents and problems, communicating solutions or advices to customers and users on changes and improvements based on best business practices.
  • Contributing to the gathering, analysis, setup, design and documentation of new requirements and change requests.
  • Good documentation skills (expectation is that after 2 iterations of a process that all is documented)
  • Providing time estimates for the development and implementation of new requirements.
  • Ensures full lifecycle tests of requests for change before they are presented to the user for user acceptance testing.
  • Active contribution to relevant projects or service operation across Service Lines where integration is required, in particular a project to transition an ERP to a PaaS platform in Cloud.
  • Providing briefings and presentations.
  • Performing other duties as may be required.

Profile

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
  • A minimum of 4 years current, detailed and relevant knowledge and experience.
  • Basic SQL and SQL*Plus knowledge.
  • Familiarity with configuration management / versioning procedures and tools.
  • Able to work under pressure, on own initiative and without constant supervision, to strict and tight deadlines.
  • A good team player and a good communicator.
  • Experience of working in a team that delivers a highly available service.
  • Competent in documenting work done.
  • English proficiency level: SLP 3333 according to STANAG 6001 ORACLE EBS
  • A minimum of 4 years current, detailed and relevant knowledge of and experience with Oracle EBS Release 12.2 (or higher).
  • Basic understanding of the data model for Oracle EBS Release 12.2 (or higher).
  • Working knowledge of the Oracle Unified Method (OUM) and/or the Oracle Application Implementation Methodology (AIM) EBS DBA
  • A minimum of 5 years recent practical experience as an Oracle EBS DBA, demonstrating a 24 months sustained period of performance on the previous 2 most recent assignments. In this capacity, the Consultant must have performed duties such as installing, upgrading, and supporting (patching, troubleshooting, tuning) Oracle EBS software and the associated Oracle Technology stack in a multi-tier/multi-node/multi-platform environment, comprising database server, applications server, web server, concurrent processing server, reports server, forms server, admin server, and discoverer server.
  • Experience of managing multiple Oracle installations on large systems. In particular, the candidate must be conversant with Oracle EBS Release 12.2 (or higher) and Oracle Database 11gR2 (or higher) product versions in Linux environments.
  • Practical experience with Oracle EBS and Oracle Database backup/recovery (RMAN), configuration, sizing, space management, monitoring, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, troubleshooting and administration.
  • Expertise in Oracle EBS Release 12.2 (or higher) technical architecture, including knowledge of the underlying database architecture, with particular reference to schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes and constraints.
  • Broad knowledge of and experience with Oracle Internet Application Server (iAS 9i/10g) and proven ability in dealings with Forms/Reporting/Apache Web servers and configuring, troubleshooting and tuning.
  • Broad knowledge of and experience with WebLogic application server, including configuring, troubleshooting and tuning.
  • Practical experience with advanced topology elements like shared APPL_TOP, Oracle Clusterware, Rapid Application Cluster (RAC) and Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
  • Sound knowledge of and experience with Oracle’s Enterprise Manager 10g or higher.
  • Sound knowledge of and experience with Oracle’s Application Management Suite for Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Good UNIX/Linux knowledge and good automation (UNIX/Linux scripting) skills.

Desirable

  • Basic understanding of Oracle Application Testing Suite (OATS).
  • Practical experience with the installation, upgrade and maintenance of Oracle Application Express (APEX).
  • Practical experience with the installation, upgrade and maintenance of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE, OBIA, etc.).
  • Practical experience with the configuration and troubleshooting of following technology solutions in an EBS environment: Web Application Firewall (WAF), Hardware based load balancing, Reverse proxy and Hardware based SSL acceleration.
