On behalf of our client e2E Services Limited, founded in 1999 and established in providing systems engineering, technical support and expertise, I am seeking an experienced System-Software Engineer (MATLAB Specialist) that will support their mission in Welwyn Garden City. You would be writing software of industrial strength using the appropriate standards and tools of e2E. This would include implementation of the algorithms and models mentioned above, as well as more general software applications development for their systems.

Responsibilities

• Software development with focus on analysing, modelling and prototyping critical data processing or control algorithms
• Algorithm development to control pointing between two spacecrafts
• State-modelling for a software update process in MATLAB, or other task-specific tools
• Writing software of industrial strength using appropriate e2E standards and tools
• Implementation of the algorithms and models
• General software system applications development in Python and C++
• Full lifecycle software development including coding and testing

Profile

• Strong mathematical modelling skills
• Experience modelling complex systems in MATLAB and Simulink
• Familiarity with integrating this model into software systems (through code generation, etc)
• Knowledge of control systems engineering
• Appreciation of challenges for real-time systems
• Desire to develop software, systems engineering and test automation skills
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Experience working with embedded systems
• Experience working in the space, aerospace or communications industry
• Software development using C/C++, Python, Java etc
• Working in Linux environment, scripting in Bash
• Experience with AOCS/ADCS, satellite tracking or orbital modelling systems
• Experience with ECSS, FSO, MBSE, 5G NR
• Experience with communications protocols, SDR and protocol stacks would be nice to have
