Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a System Engineer to join NATO – NCIA, at Mons, Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Microsoft Active Directory for users, permissions and rights management. Implement security mechanisms via Group Policy Objects
  • Configure secure network infrastructure based on the NATO guidelines. Deploy and configure network services such as DNS, DHCP, etc
  • Implement centrally managed end-point security system based on McAfee products, including antivirus and DLP features
  • Implement network file shares. Migrate the data of existing system preserving access permissions
  • Design and configure Veeam backup system. Implement the stakeholders’ backup requirements into technical solution
  • Implement Microsoft Exchange infrastructure, including personal, functional and resource mailboxes and distribution lists. Implement script-based GAL synchronization between given Exchange organizations.
  • Implement Microsoft SCCM infrastructure for OS deployment, software installation and systems updating
  • Implement the secure print system with badge access control
  • Install and configure Microsoft Windows 10 client devices, including defined productivity applications and security endpoints
  • Produce high quality documentation for design and/or deployed systems, including configuration description, physical and logical layouts, connectivity matrixes. When applicable export or backup configuration to the external media
  • Follow security principals and best practices for systems design and deployment, including password management firmware and software updating, etc. Design and implement special permissions for Power Users based on the existing delegation model.
  • Be ready to act independently and to take decisions based on the provided system requirements. Evaluate available design documents and propose new solutions if needed
  • Adhere to NCI Agency guidance and directives, and more generally NATO Standards
  • Any other duties as mandated by the project manager

Profile

  • Experience in Microsoft Active Directory management
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), with particular emphasis on patch deployment, client OS deployment, OS and application maintenance
  • Sound knowledge of end-point security products
  • Demonstrated experience in deployment, management of small Windows network, including file servers, basic network services, backup services
  • A university master’s degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, or experience equivalent to a Master’s degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in implementing CIS systems (with duties including the ones mentioned above)
  • Flexibility to work outside normal duty hours as and when required
  • Knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art technologies, relevant to the work
  • Able to operate under time pressure and able to multitask continuously
  • Ability to independently produce technical documentation in English, related to area of expertise
  • Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders (including customers)
  • Experience of working in an (international) environment, comprising both military and civilian staff
  • Able to learn new procedures and terminology quickly Desirable Experience and education
  • Microsoft MCSE certification
  • valid CISSP certification
  • Veeam VMCE certification
  • HPE ATP Storage Solutions certificate
  • Previous experience in NCIA
  • Must hold NATO Security Clearance
  • Fluent business English; knowledge of another NATO member-state language is an asset
