Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Principal Assistant Security to join NATO – NCIA, at Brussels, Belgium.

Responsibilities

With guidance from Agency Security Manager (ASM), incumbent will perform duties such as following:

  • Oversight and technical direction of Security Offices in Brussels, Mons, The Hague, and Oeiras
  • Coordinate and oversee NCI Agency security databases
  • Lead on Event Security, Security Surveys, Inspections and Advisory Visits
  • Coordinate (and where appropriate) lead Security Investigations, providing support as required to Agency Fraud Prevention and Detection Manager
  • Assist in maintenance of NCI Agency Security Education programme and issue of Security Awareness Notices
  • Act as primary Agency point-of-contact (POC) for all initial and renewal Personal Security Clearance enquiries
  • Act as primary Agency POC for industrial security matters relating to Facility Security Clearance Certificates (FSCC) and release of classified material to contractors
  • Liaise with NATO Office of Security (NOS), Host Nation Security Authorities and ACCI on Personnel Security, and Counter Intelligence matters
  • Attend Security Management Workshops, courses and meetings as required.
  • Deputize for higher grade staff, if required
  • Performs other duties as may be required

Profile

  • A vocational training at a higher administrative level in a relevant Security discipline or equivalent
  • At least eight (8) years police/security/counter intelligence experience in a supervisory position
  • Strong experience in Protective Security, including Security Surveys/Inspections, Event Security and conduct of Security related investigations
  • Sound experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in the working language of the Agency
  • Aptitude for learning and using new technology
  • An awareness of the NOS Security
  • ‘Roadmap’ and associated Policies and Directives
  • Supervisory experience
  • Attendance at the NATO Counter Terrorism Course and/or the NATO Security Officer Course at the NATO School Oberammergau
  • Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT
  • Must hold NATO Security Clearance
  • Fluent business English; knowledge of another NATO member-state language is an asset
