Sapienza Consulting is recruiting an ACP127 Message Service Operator to join NATO – NCIA, at Northwood, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for protecting formal message traffic for supported HQs
  • Liaise with customer within Headquarters, and all directly connected AIFS nodes as well as national gateways to ensure optimum Formal Message delivery
  • Responsible for Redistribution of messages for locally supported HQ
  • Responsible for Misrouted ACP-127 messages handling
  • Responsible for review, approval of messages released by supported HQs
  • Responsible for invalid message release troubleshooting
  • Participates in service contingency planning and execution
  • Performs ACP-127 serial lines messaging-layer monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Provides assistance for DB admin in Local database update
  • Provides assistance in local data backup procedures • Provides assistance in collection and reporting agreed system statistics

Profile

  • Knowledge of NATO/National military messaging formats handling procedures and publications;
  • Proven experience as ACP-127 message service operator
  • Previous work experience in a NATO/National ACP-127 Communication Centre
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks, SMTP protocol and Domain Name Space (DNS)
  • Sound knowledge of data backup / restore procedures • Must hold Security Clearance NATO Secret
  • Fluent business English; knowledge of another NATO member-state language is an asset
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU
