Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Test Engineer (AirC2) to join NATO – NCIA, at The Hague, The Netherlands

Responsibilities

The Contractor will assist and support AMDC2 Acquisition Verification and Validation Section AVVS Mission Assurance Branch (MAB) in all aspects of planning and execution of integration and testing required during acceptance and transition phases of Air Command and Control (ACCS) Equipment Capability. Incumbent will be required to perform following duties:

  • Draft, define and coordinate generic operational scenarios needed to perform Operational Demonstrations with Users and NATO AirC2 Staff
  • Participate in scenario definition activities at STVF and on Sites in accordance with contract terms
  • Review deliverables arising from contract, to ensure that contractor has correctly interpreted relevant specifications relating to T&E
  • Ensure that resources (personnel, interfaces, communications, flights, etc) required for testing are identified, planned, and coordinated
  • Ensure that test plans and procedures, and test results are produced and analysed to support verification and validation
  • Monitor T&E related test activities of related national implementation contracts and advising host nations as required
  • Evaluate test plans and schedules proposed by contractor(s) and providing recommendations and/or comments
  • Participate in contract milestone reviews, technical interchange meetings, contract deliverable reviews and other project meetings

Profile

  • Master of Science (MSc) degree at nationally recognised/certified University in related discipline and 5 years post-related experience; Or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at nationally recognised/certified University in related discipline and 7 years post related experience; Or exceptionally, lack of university/college degree may be compensated by demonstration of candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency and 12 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to operational aspects of AirC2 system
  • Must have recent experience of NATO Air C2 System
  • Must have good knowledge of AirC2 operational processes and procedures, specifically test issue resolution process
  • Recent experience in management (planning and execution) of larger verification and validation activities for large-scale distributed software-intensive CIS to include functional, performance and interoperability
  • Good knowledge of, and practical experience in, modern test engineering and test management methods and paradigms
  • Experience in operational or technical use of Air C2 systems
  • Knowledge of NATO Tactical Data Links and other military or civilian interoperability standards for messaging and data exchange related to air traffic
  • Experience as Master or Duty Controller with good practical experience in both real-time and non real time aspects of Air C2
  • Formal qualification in validation and verification engineering or testing is desirable
  • Must hold Security Clearance NATO Secret
  • Fluent business English; knowledge of another NATO member-state language is an asset
