Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a PKI Engineer to join NATO – NCIA, at Mons, Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Install, setup and maintain NATO Public Key Infrastructure (NPKI) systems and components
  • Install, setup and maintain the Hardware Security Module (HSM)
  • Responsible for PKI system backups, restore, upgrade and regular updates
  • Manage PKI networking components, virtualize and hardware infrastructure
  • Manage NPKI LDAP, HTTP, OCSP directory service
  • Responsible for delivery of 3rd level technical support of CIS services to NCI Agency customers
  • Being responsible for creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures within he NPKI as part of modifications or additions to current capabilities
  • Manage operation of cryptographic security for all types of NATO funded PKI systems and associated equipment to meet Infrastructure Communications Project requirements
  • Coordination, and performance, of configuration, and evaluation, of test scenarios within NPKI Reference Facility
  • Responsible for supporting all NATO exercises and missions
  • Investigating and proposing long term solutions to encountered equipment and configuration problems
  • Provide PKI technical and professional guidance to scientific, engineering projects and Operating Authorities
  • As NPKI system administrator have flexibility to work outside normal office hours in response to crises and urgent requirements

Profile

  • Extensive knowledge of modern communication and Internet Protocol (IP) based networking technologies and systems including security aspects
  • 3 years extensive experience with PKI System development, design, management
  • Extensive knowledge of Information security and Cryptography (symmetric and asymmetric encryption, public key infrastructure (PKI) encryption, public key encryption, hash functions, digital signatures, digital certificates)
  • Working knowledge of router and switches configuration
  • Practical experience in Windows Servers, RHEL and VMware system administration
  • Knowledge of the principles of computer and communications security, networking, and vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications
  • Experience with SQL database administration
  • Extensive experience in operating systems backup and restore
  • Practical experience in scripting (Python, Powershell)
  • Practical experience in SSL, TLS, and OpenSSL
  • Must hold Security Clearance NATO Secret
  • Fluent business English; knowledge of another NATO member-state language is an asset

Desirable Experience:

  • VMware (VCA, VCP) and Linux RHEL system administration
  • CISCO CCNA
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA)
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • Experience in development and implementation of computer security policies
  • A university degree in a relevant discipline and 3 years of specific experience
