Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Resource and Business Management Officer to work at NATO NCIA in Mons, Belgium.

Responsibilities

Resource and Business Management Officer

Under direction of Head Service Execution Planning and Management, Operations Centre you will perform following duties:

Project Support:

  • Lead for projects related to present and future development and transition of Ops Centre
  • Monitor the project start up process to ensure essential data is included and project plans are realistic and achievable. Review project plans and cost estimates prior to dissemination
  • Maintain Project Plans as required by PMs, including Approving Time Accounting information
  • Updating progress information for Earned Value Management
  • Verify that defined PM processes and procedures are being followed
  • Support the exception process within the Ops Centre
  • Support the creation of Project documents, such as Project Initiation Documents, Highlight reports, Exception Reports etc

Information Support:

  • Support Project Managers in taking/producing draft and final meeting minutes shortly during/after meetings
  • Store and manage supporting project documents in the project workspace and post them on the Project Portal as tasked
  • Ensure follow-up for timely comments

HPMO support:

  • Collect information regarding the progress of projects and carry out statistical analysis relating to project execution, including analysis of trends and future performance forecasts
  • Provide feedback to the HPMO relating to resource usage
  • Provide managers (Group Heads, HPMO and SL Chief) with relevant information needed by them for effective management of their personnel
  • Ensure SL personnel complete their time management activities promptly according to Agency directives

Other Support:

  • Planning and management of allocated Operating budget
  • Coordinate and supervise the administration of the Agency Information Knowledge Management tools on NS and NR (i.e. Tasker Tracker/Document Handling System/SharePoint Portal, etc.)
  • Support staff training program preparation and execution follow-up across Service Line
  • Working on own initiative with limited supervision
  • Perform other duties as may be required
  • Deputize for higher grade staff

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • Selected staff should own Master’s degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a relevant discipline and 2 years post-related experience or, a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a relevant discipline and 3 years post related experience or, exceptionally, the lack of a university/college degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency. That is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to the function of the post
  • Resource management (including planning for and allocation of resources in organizations)
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, with excellent briefing skills
  • Knowledge and experience in Project Management
  • Knowledge and experience in Service Management processes
  • Knowledge and experience in Customer Relationship Management and Service Level Management

  • PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner
  • Project Management Professional
  • Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation
