Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a NRF Configuration Manager to work at NATO NCIA in Mons, Belgium.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision and the direction of the NRF Cell Head, the post holder:

  • Maintains and enforces Service Assets and Configuration Management (SACM) procedures to control all CIS Networks within the NATO Response Force (NRF) Mission Network (MN) and related Deployable CIS (DCIS) Configuration Items (CIs)
  • Provides inputs to the Configuration Management plan, policy and procedures for NRF and related DCIS Configuration Items
  • Participates in the configuration and maintenance of the Configuration Management tools and CMDBs
  • Participates in reviews and in the Change Management process for NRF related Configuration Items
  • Ensures that CM requirements for NRF are clearly identified from NATO entities and participant Nations for new or increments to services, systems, infrastructure and/or documentation
  • On behalf of the NRF Cell Head, when required, represents Cell at appropriate Boards or meetings
  • Liaises with other divisions and NATO Agencies in matters concerning configuration management issues

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • University degree in information systems engineering, information technology or related discipline. A formal post-secondary training in IT will be considered as an asset
  • Proven experience on Configuration Management
  • Strong technical understanding and experience working with various IT Service Management related tools and technology, including but not limited to BMC Remedy ITSM Suite v9.1 and above
  • Understanding of infrastructure solutions hosting Service Management tools and technology, including understanding of market leading database solutions (including but not limited to MS SQL and Oracle)
  • Capable to write reports from discovery tools and to read reports from tools as SCCM and Cablesolve
  • Sound knowledge of Service Design, Service Transition and Service Operation processes and principles according to ITILv3/v4
  • Experience with ITIL change and configuration management best practices
  • Strong technical understanding and knowledge of all aspects of modern CIS infrastructure, including cloud-based solutions used by large and globally disperse organisations
  • Strong understanding and experience working with complex systems and architecture frameworks
  • Knowledge of Quality Management principles
  • Extensive knowledge of concepts of central management with distribution execution
  • In-depth knowledge of NATO responsibilities, structure and organization, including ACO and ACT
  • Sound Knowledge of NATO’s missions and exercises, as well as peacetime architecture and operations
  • Experience leading and facilitating meetings and committees with various stakeholders;
  • Working as part of a technical team
  • Experience in the following Microsoft tools: MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Outlook, MS Word
  • Provide Project Management support as required
  • Strong awareness of business priorities and objectives and how to manage and prioritise technical activities to support business
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Working experience in International or Multinational Organizations as well as in military environments will be considered as an asset
